Harper's Interview with Roger Berkowitz on Hannah Arendt

Hannah Arendt, iconic political theorist, died 34 years ago today. To commemorate the anniversary of her death, Harper’s Magazine interviewed Roger Berkowitz, one of the editors of Thinking in Dark Times: Hannah Arendt on Ethics and Politics. Berkowitz, the Director of the Hannah Arendt Center for Ethical and Political Thinking at Bard College, answers six questions on Arendt’s thinking, including her thoughts on totalitarianism, how her political philosophy would function in a post-9/11 world, her views on school segregation, and her Jewish identity.
