Clara Han is Associate Professor of Anthropology at Johns Hopkins University. She is the author of Life in Debt: Times of Care and Violence in Neoliberal Chile (2012) and a co-editor of Living and Dying in the Contemporary World: A Compendium (2015).

Richard Rechtman is a Psychiatrist and an Anthropologist. Director of Studies (Full Professor) at the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales in Paris and member of the Centre d’Etudes Sociologiques et Politiques Raymond Aron (EHESS-CNRS). From 1997 to 2010 he directed the Centre Hospitalier Spécialisé de la Verrière (MGEN) and took on the role of Manager of the Department for Adolescent Psychiatry, which he created in 1999. He has created and directed an outpatient transcultural clinic for refugees in central Paris since 1990 devoted to south Asian Refugees, especially Cambodians, and now to Middle East refugees, from Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq and West Africa.
